The responsibilities of the Assessor’s office are to discover, list and value all real estate, motor vehicles and personal property located within the Town of Roxbury and to administer Public Act 490, tax relief programs and exemptions. These responsibilities are done in accordance with Connecticut State Statutes, Rules and Regulations of the Office of Policy and Management for the State of Connecticut and local ordinances.

Vision Government Solutions, Inc., formerly known as Vision Appraisal Technology Inc., has been contracted by the Town of Roxbury to assist the Assessor in performing a revaluation of all real estate in the Town of Roxbury for the 2012 Grand List.
The Company will be following up on outstanding building permits and those permits issued through October 1, 2012.
Properties that have sold during the required time frame will be reviewed and inspected by representatives of the Company. The Company and Assessor will do a final review of all properties in Roxbury, once new parameters have been established.
The 2011 income limits for the Homeowner's Benefit Program are: $32,300 for single applicants and $39,500 combined income for married applicants. The filing period is February 1, 2012 through May 15, 2012.

The 2011 income limits for the Additional Veteran's Exemption are $32,300 for single applicants and $39,500 combined income for married applicants. The filing period is February 1, 2012 through October 1, 2012.
The 2011 income limits for those Veterans deemed 100% disabled by the Veterans' Administration are: $18,000 for single applicants and $21,000 combined income for married applicants.
