Haitian Relief Effort The Town’s fund, "Roxbury Responds," which was set up in the aftermath of Katrina, will be accepting tax-deductible donations that will help with the Haitian Relief Effort. Donations will be distributed from the fund to the American Red Cross, Save the Children, and Doctors Without Borders.
As Governor Rell said, "This is a time when we are all bound by our humanity. Until specific needs are identified, the Haitian people need our charity and compassion. Monetary donations will help those relief groups already on the ground deliver the basics – water, food, medical supplies and shelter."
Checks can be made out to the Town of Roxbury, P. O. Box 203, Roxbury, CT 06783 with "Roxbury Responds" or "Haitian Relief Effort" in the memo. | |
